Nature's Lessons

Odyssey Nature Japan was founded with the desire to support the next generation of children fully experience and grow by feeling the "power to live" that the rich nature of Higashimatsushima City teaches us.

Starting with children's programs based on the concept of Satoumi (a sustainable coastal ecosystem concept), we offer a range of nature-based educational experiences, from fieldwork-based training programs for students from field work approach to corporate training focused on climate change and food environments. These programs are led by local fishermen, researchers, and farmers.

Through learning that utilizes critical thinking, we focus on developing individuals' ability to think, take action, and be self-motivated, sharing valuable educational experiences that will connect to the future.

Using all five senses to experience the sound of the wind, the scent of the sea, and the feel of the soil, we invite you to feel the greatness of the Earth as you witness the ever-changing face of nature. At the same time, we emphasize the Satoumi concept and encourage reflection on the connection between the mountains, villages, lands, and seas where humans live.
